US-Indonesia Business Committee highlights, special events, meeting, conference, important materials
Workshop on Automotive Rules of Origin
Jakarta, Indonesia

The US-ASEAN Business Council and the Automotive Trade Policy Council, through funding granted from the Department of State’s ASEAN Cooperation Plan and generous support from Daimler Chrysler, Ford Motor Company and General Motors, organized a workshop on Automotive Rules of Origin in the ASEAN region. The workshop took place on January 31, 2005 at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta.

Road Show/ Workshops on Automotive Safety and Environmental Standards
Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok
June 14-18, 2004

At the October 2003 APEC Automotive Dialogue Steering Committee in Hanoi, Vietnam, the U.S. announced an economic and technical assistance program to work with the ASEAN Automotive Federation (AAF) to support regional harmonization of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) automotive safety and environment standards.

Through funding granted from the US Deparment of State's ASEAN Cooperation Plan, and the generous support from DaimlerChrsyler, Ford Motor Company and General Motors, the US ASEAN Business Council and the Automotive Trade and Policy Council organized a Road Show / Workshops on Automotive Safety and Environmental Standards to support the program.
The workshops took place on June 14-18, 2004 in three ASEAN capital cities: Manila, Philippines; Bangkok, Thailand; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
