Part of the global initiative" Changing the Face of the World",
this program provides free reconstructive facial surgery to poor
children suffering from cleft lips/palate. It has treated more than
10,000 of them in the Philippines.
Operation Smile offers the highest level of medical care t children
with severe facial deformities. It is an opportunity for the children
to experience the love of caring individuals.
Operation Smile is also leading the efforts to develop an organized
emergency rescue capability in our disaster-prone country. During
the international medical mission, Operation Smile sponsors a two-week
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Training course which is open
to all emergency rescue workers and volunteers through out the Philippines.
Toys and snacks are provided during missions in all location -
Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
